A Capella? Yes Please.

I had a fabulous Memorial day weekend full of good food, family, and friends.. oh, and a little a capella. Actually it was more like a lot of super amazing a capella. My local outdoor theater hosted three of the stars from this last season of The Sing Off, in an amazing Memorial day concert.

My favorite group by far, although they were all fun and very talented, was Pentatonix. I have loved them from day one on the show. They aren't human.

The low end, namely Avi and Kevin are absolutely amazing. Basically they had the whole Ampatheater vibrating.

Afterwards we got our fangirl on, and went to get photos and pictures. The foxy gentleman of Vocal Point and I chatted it up about how fun the concert was and how A Capella just makes you feel good. True Story. And the talented Scott of Pentatonix complimented my use of the word kosher haha.

All in all it was an amazing night and one of the best and just downright fun concerts I have ever been too, These people are crazy talented.

Big Smile?

This probably isn't something I like to admit. Actually, no probably about it. Who likes to tell people that they have a fake tooth on a retainer in their mouth as we are speaking? Not me. How embarrassing. I feel like a girl (woman? lady? who cares.) of my age should not have to wear orthodontic equipment in their mouth. Especially when they haven't had braces for quite a few years now.
Anyway. As I was eating my blueberry mini wheats this morning, the tooth on my retainer BROKE OFF. So I had two choices as I headed out for the day: not wear a retainer and look like a hillbilly, or wear the other retainer I have that has a wire in front and look like a fourteen year old freak again. Neither is preferable.
I decided on being fourteen again.
Bright Side:
  • At least I can get it fixed tomorrow (as today is a holiday. Happy Memorial Day.)
  • At least I live in a time where I can have straight teeth.
  • At least I live in a time where I just got out of a surgery that will give me a permanent fake tooth in August once the post they put in my bone heals.
But in the moment? I look and feel like I'm fourteen again and it sucks.

Great Importance

Once upon a time, I finally decided to  put music on my ipod. As I sorted through my itunes library, I made a rather grand discovery.150 fun songs for kids; featuring thrilling hits such as: hot cross buns, London bridges falling down, Three little kittens, there's a hole in my bucket, Alice the camel, and more!

Am I in my twenties?
yes.
Have I been listening to it all day?
yes.
Is there anything wrong with that?
I plead the fifth.

this is important, mostly because its the most exciting thing that's happened to me today, and I am blogging about it thus making me a productive member of society.
